IPhone 13 Pro And 13 Pro Max: The Promise Of The Highest Graphic Performance Ever On A Mobile Phone Finally Comes With A 120 Hz Screen

iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max the promise of the highest graphic performance ever on a mobile phone finally comes with a 120 Hz screen

Last year Apple multiplied iPhone models like never before with the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the play has been repeated this year, as expected. Specifically, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are released to complete Apple’s catalog on its highest-end mobiles.

In general, we see that it has not been a very drastic renewal and that part of the most striking and different is, as suspected, on the screen and photography. More hertz, less notch, and new features for these new mobiles that are going straight to try to win the throne of the best mobiles of the year and that have preserved the aesthetics that we knew from their predecessors.

A design that sounds familiar to us, even if the notch is small

The iPhone 13 Pro also does not break with the design, as expected, preserving the 90-degree angled edges that the iPhone 12 recovered. They have IP68 resistance and the glass matte is maintained, in contrast to the module.

The screens are 6.1 and 6.7 inches and the refresh rate has finally been raised to 120 Hz, something that until now we have only seen in the iPad Pro (speaking of Apple). It comes with the ProMotion adjustment so that the refresh rate is adapted to the use and thus be able to better manage energy consumption, and along with this the notch also suffers a certain reduction, as in the case of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini.

A new brain that promises never-before-seen performance

Inside they have the new Apple A15 Bionic, the processor that they have released with the new iPhones in full. Here they have puffed their chests concerning the GPU that it includes, promising the highest graphics performance on mobile to date and all the power and fluidity that heavier tasks require, such as video editing and games.

Of the RAM, for a change, they have not given a clue, although this probably remains concerning the previous one. Neither of the mAh follows custom, but here the manufacturer promises improvements in hours, specifically 1.5 hours more than the 12 Pro and 2.5 hours more than the 12 Pro Max, respectively.

A new brain that promises never before seen performance

The software that these new iPhones will bring is the well-known iOS 15, keeping the NFC and the Lightning connector. Also the stereo sound and the absence of an audio minijack, and finally nothing back from TouchID: FaceID is still the only biometric unlocking system.

Of course, the most powerful photographic system (from Apple) to date

The triple camera of the Pro is kept on the back of these new mobiles, integrating:

  • Telephoto: 12 MP f/2.8, 77mm, 3x optical zoom.
  • Ultra-wide angle: 12 MP f/1.8, 6P, 120º.
  • Main: 12 MP f/1.5 OIS.
  • Front camera: 12 MP f/2.2.

With larger sensors, they promise greater light capture and thus a better result at night, even with the wide angle. This camera also launches the macro mode, something that we have been seeing for some time on Android and for which most of the time an extra lens is used (with a very small sensor).

Of course, the most powerful photographic system (from Apple) to date

Thus, once again Apple remains in its commitment to the triple 12-megapixel sensor, focusing on increasing the size of the sensor and that of the pixels, reaching its record of 1.9 µm per pixel. The larger the photodiode, the promise is of more light collection and less noise. We will have to see if they meet that of being 2.2 times better than the Pro or 1.5 times better than the Pro Max in low-light situations.

Something interesting is also rumored in terms of stabilization. The brand can usually boast of an optical stabilization system, especially for the video result, and now the iPhone includes optical image stabilization by sensor displacement, a new technology with which the sensor is stabilized instead of the lens.

The Cinema (or Cinematic) mode will allow the use of selective focus and allows recording in HDR with Dolby Vision. Another new feature is Photo Styles, so users can apply filters and effects without losing multi-frame image processing. And beware, the night mode of photography finally reaches all lenses, as it happens in Samsung mobiles and other brands.
