Although we haven’t stopped with the future Samsung Galaxy S7 lately, today we come up with a scoop on the real upcoming Samsung launch: the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini. All Samsung flagships, the “Galaxy S,” have had their corresponding “Mini” version, characterized by being more compact, mid-range, and therefore more affordable.
Even so, versions like the S3 mini have turned out to be very bad devices at too high a price and without any characteristics inherited from their top-of-the-range “father.” Instead, the S4 mini turned out to be a worthy mid-range terminal with similar specifications to the Galaxy S4, not only in its design. Will we be lucky with this S6 Mini?
Features and price of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini
After appearing in an online store called LetsTango, some of its key features came to light. Although it was only seen for a few hours, only its reservation is available without any declared price. A priori, these would be some of its characteristics :
Samsung Galaxy S6 | |
---|---|
Screen | 4.6 or 4.7-inch Super AMOLED |
Pixel density | 720 x 1280 pixels |
Processor | Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, 1.8 GHz six-core CPU, and an Adreno 418 GPU |
RAM | 2 GB |
OS | Android 5.1 Lollipop |
Storage | 16 GB |
Cameras | 15 megapixel rear, 5-megapixel front |
Battery | Not available yet |
Others | Fingerprint sensor, MicroSD slot, metal body |
Regarding the price and the date of departure, Samsung has not even confirmed the existence of such a terminal. In the same way, it is estimated that it will come out before the presentation of the expected Samsung Galaxy S7 and with a mid-high-end price of around 200 euros.
At first glance, we would not be talking about a device with a curved screen like its older brother. Still, it will inherit its fingerprint sensor and a very good 15-megapixel camera, a little above the average for cameras in the mid-range.
Along with a more than enough processor for this type of terminal, it is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM quite successful. On the other hand, a Super AMOLED screen at a standard resolution gives a quality touch to the terminal that it needs to make a difference compared to its rivals. However, we have seen much better resolutions with larger screens.
In my opinion, the battery and the starting price of this terminal will be the specifications that will end up defining this terminal since, at the moment, the filtered content is correct. Still, a bad battery or a price that is too high would end up “spoiling” this rumored device.
What do you think? Do you think it will be a good Galaxy Mini at last?
