The world’s best-selling smartphones in 2021: Apple, Xiaomi and Samsung dominate the market

Four different iPhone models lead the list of best-selling mobiles in the world in the first quarter of 2021. The rest of the terminals that make up the list are Xiaomi and Samsung devices.

Counterpoint Research has published its analysis of the market corresponding to the first three months of 2021, confirming how, once again, Apple is dominating the mobile market in terms of revenue generated from the sale of its mobiles and the sales harvested with some models concrete.

And, once again, the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 11 are once again the four best-selling mobiles on the market. The rest of the ranking is a little more distributed.

The Redmi 9A is one of the cheapest Xiaomi phones and one of the best sellers.

With around a 2% market share, the Xiaomi Redmi 9A is the best-selling Android smartphone in the first quarter of the year, according to data from CounterPoint. Just below is its older brother, the Redmi 9, with a 1% share.

The seventh position is occupied by a Samsung model, the Samsung Galaxy A12, one of the cheapest available today in the Samsung smartphone catalog.

The popular Redmi Note 9 occupies the eighth position, closely followed by the Samsung Galaxy A21s, accompanied by the last model on the list, the Galaxy A31.

But, despite the enormous volume of sales harvested by these terminals, none of them appears at the top of mobile phones that generate the most revenue for their manufacturers. That merit goes to models like the Samsung Galaxy A21 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S21, and Galaxy S21 +, the only Samsung models that appear at the top. Xiaomi is not present in this ranking, but Huaewi is successful – at least in China – Huawei Mate40 Pro.
