- The new Xiaomi Redmi 10 is now official, a cheap smartphone with a fluid screen and a great battery.
The Xiaomi Redmi 10 is Xiaomi’s new cheap smartphone and the most advanced model in Redmi’s most affordable series.
This new generation introduces improvements such as a screen with a high refresh rate capable of dynamically varying its fluidity or an improved processor concerning the last generation.
Xiaomi Redmi 10, all the information
The Redmi 10 arrives with a design that resembles other Xiaomi mid-range and high-end models, especially the Mi 10 Ultra launched last year.
But the reality is that they are two very different devices. The Redmi 10 features a 6.5-inch LCD screen and a plastic body. The screen in question has a Full HD + resolution and can vary its refresh rate between 45, 60, and 90 hertz depending on the content displayed to save energy.
The panel is perforated at the top center, where the device houses the 8-megapixel front camera.
Its fingerprint reader is integrated into the side, sharing location with the power button. There are the four cameras that the Redmi 10 houses on its back, led by a 50-megapixel sensor, along with an 8-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens and two complementary sensors of 2 megapixels each, for macro and portrait shots.
This year, the processor that brings the Redmi 10 to life has been created by MediaTek. It is the Helio G88, with eight cores capable of running at a maximum of 2 GHz.
Next to it are 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal storage. All of this is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery * with an 18W charge. The 22.5W charger is included in the box.
As explained in WinFuture, all the information comes from a press release published by Xiaomi in advance. Still, for now, the price or availability of the new device has not been confirmed. However, it is expected to reach the market at a price below 150 euros.
