‘Avatar 2’ Already Has A Date For Its Arrival On Streaming (But Disney + Will Still Have To Wait)

'Avatar 2' already has a date for its arrival on streaming (but Disney + will still have to wait)

The waiting time to be able to enjoy ‘ Avatar. The sense of water ‘ at home begins to shorten. At the moment, there is a date on the horizon: March 28, where at least in the United States (very possibly in Europe the date will be close) it can be purchased and rented on Prime Video, Apple TV, and the exclusives of that country Vudu and Movies Anywhere. It will be available with 4K Ultra HD image quality and Dolby Atmos audio.

The launch will come with an interesting extra: three hours of additional material that will explore both the lore of the franchise and its expensive production process. This extra material will go into the analysis of topics such as motion capture technology, special effects, or the cast, from returning actors and actresses to new characters like Spider.

In the same way that ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’ is not yet scheduled to arrive on Disney+ (at least not until it yields its good dividends in the paid market), it also has no scheduled date for domestic formats such as Blu-Ray or DVD. Disney plans to very carefully stagger the phases of exploitation of the film so that the tremendous success it has enjoyed in theaters continues beyond that as well.

‘Avatar 2’ is already the third highest-grossing film in history, surpassing James Cameron’s own ‘Titanic’. This is a unique circumstance for a single director, thus placing three of his films at the top of the highest-grossing films of all time (‘ Avatar ‘ is in first place). A unique circumstance that will continue to perform outside movie theaters.
