Reaper of Souls, the first expansion for ‘Diablo III’

Blizzard has just announced the official release date for ‘Reaper of Souls,’ the first expansion to receive ‘Diablo III.’ The chosen date is March 25, 2014, and will be released worldwide on Windows and Mac.

If you want to pre-order ‘Reaper of Souls,’ you can do so today by entering the Battle.net store, where there are two different digital editions. The standard edition, which is priced at 39.99 euros, and the Digital Deluxe Edition, which for a price of 59.99 euros, includes the following extras:

• An exclusive collection of recipes for transforming helms and weapons.
• A ghost wolf minion that will accompany our character on his adventures.
• Three spaces to create new heroes.
• The Treasure Goblin company pet for World of Warcraft.
• A collection of portraits of the Crusader.
• Malthael badges for StarCraft II.

The news that the expansion brings up its sleeve in any of its versions are these:

• Act V, a new chapter that will take us to face Death itself.
• The Crusader: a new playable hero that comes to join the existing ones.
• The maximum level increased to 70 and contemporary spells and abilities.
• Adventure mode: a new game mode that will offer us the freedom to go anywhere to kill demonic hordes.
• The Contracts – Random objectives that will bring further rewards for exploring Sanctuary.
• The Nephalem Rifts – Completely randomized dungeons that can be played over and over again with rich loot.
• The Mystique – A powerful new crafting machine that will allow you to customize your heroes’ loot.

In addition to these two digital editions, Blizzard will launch the Collector’s Edition of Reaper of Souls in physical format for 79.99 euros. In addition to all the content in the Digital Deluxe Edition, it includes the following:

• Malthael mouse pad, with an illustration of the Angel of Death.
• Hardcover picture book, a chronicle of the artistic development of the game.
• Two-disc Blu-ray / DVD set “Behind the scenes,” featuring interviews with members of the development team.
