Fisker EMotion, The Electric Car That Promises 644 Km Of Autonomy And Charges In 9 Minutes, Will Be Presented At CES 2018

Fisker EMotion, the electric car that promises 644 km of autonomy and charges in 9 minutes, will be presented at CES 2018

Fisker, the interesting manufacturer of proposals for spectacular cars full of technology like the Karma and Revero, continues with its plan to attack Tesla with all its arsenal. This is thanks to the Fisker EMotion, an electric car that went from concept to reality in the form of a functional prototype.

The same CEO of the company has been in charge of being the best promoter of his next adventure when at the beginning of June of this year he presented us with the first promotional images of the EMotion. Later that same month, Henrik Fisker went for a walk through the streets of San Francisco in the prototype of this electric car that promises to be a rival to beat in the segment. Today, Fisker is finally announcing where the EMotion debut will take place: CES 2018 in Las Vegas.

Deliveries will start in 2019

As we know, Fisker is promising things that have left everyone with their mouths open, since beyond the five-door sports sedan design, the technology that it would incorporate is what is attracting attention.

We are referring to a range of 644 kilometers and a charging system that would give us 200 kilometers in just 9 minutes, a system that has been baptized, and according to the company also patented, as ‘UltraCharger’, which would exceed, by far, the 30 minutes from Tesla’s Super Charger.

Another interesting point is that unlike Tesla, the Fisker EMotion would have LiDAR sensors, which would allow it to have an SAE level 4 autonomous driving system. Of course, the company mentions that the software is still in development and at this point, they cannot guarantee that it will be available once it is released, although it will be enabled through an OTA update once it is ready.

Deliveries will start in 2019

For a few months now, the EMotion can be reserved for $2,000 with scheduled deliveries only in the United States during 2019. Its final price will be $129,000 and with this, they will seek to snatch part of the market that Tesla has been gaining. But that’s not all, since the CEO of the company also announced that they are working on a sedan mediating with the same technology as the EMotion, which will have a price that will start at $34,000. Yes, precisely to compete with the Model 3.

This is how we can now point to the date: Monday, January 8, 2018, during the start of CES in Las Vegas, is when Fisker will gather the media to present the final version of EMotion and its first tests, in addition to the details of its technology and its plans for the future within the electrical segment. Of course, we will be there to bring you all the news firsthand.
