Intel Arc joins the gaming market for graphics cards: Nvidia and AMD will have a new competitor in 2022

The market competition is very healthy. Users benefit from companies competing to offer the best possible product. For this reason, it is always good news that a more significant offer is added for the buyer.

In this case, we are not talking about just anyone since Intel has announced that it will launch its first line of graphics cards under the name of Intel Arc. The scenario in which they propose to present battle will be gaming since with Alchemist, the code name of this family of GPUs; they will seek to offer support for ray tracing and a supersampling technology based on artificial intelligence.

One more option is to join Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s Fidelity FX Super Resolution to achieve high resolutions without compromising the frame rate. In addition, these cards will have full DirectX 12 Ultimate compatibility and are based on the Xe HPG microarchitecture. Future generations will be called Battlemage, Celestial, and Druid.

“The launch of the Intel Arc brand and the unveiling of future generations of hardware respond to Intel’s deep and ongoing commitment to gamers and creators around the world,” said Roger Chandler, Intel vice president. Intel Arc is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2022.
