Steam updates Remote Play Together so you can invite your friends with a single link and without the need for an account

Thanks to the function Remote Play Together Steam, users could invite anyone online to join the local multiplayer mode of any of their games, even if they did not have a copy, thus allowing them to enjoy cooperative or competitive games uniquely. Very simple and without the need to get together in the same house.

Valve has proposed to improve this function even more; hence it has announced that it has updated it with some exciting changes. In this way, when you invite someone to a game, it will not be necessary to go one by one since a link will be generated with which it will only be enough to pass it and click on it to access the game instantly.

In addition, the people who are going to join will not need to have a Steam account to play, either on PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, or Android. What will remain the same is that the host will be the only one who will need to have the game in question installed and will be able to pass the link up to four players or even more if the title has a greater capacity.

On the occasion of this great novelty, on March 25, Valve will start an event with live broadcasts of games compatible with Remote Play Together. It will also enable discounts on hundreds of video games that will remain active until March 29. Therefore, if you have any compatible ones on your wish list, you better look at these sales that will start on Thursday.
