The Pokémon Company has fulfilled its promise. A few moments ago, it published the first episode of Pokémon Evolutions, a new miniseries with which it intends to pay tribute to every one of the different regions and generations of the saga over eight chapters. That will be distributed little by little.
The one in charge of breaking the ice has been The Champion, an episode focused on the events in the Galar region of Pokémon Sword and Shield. Specifically, it shows us the moment Eternatus enters the scene, and it is Lionel, the grand champion, who is in charge of facing him to defeat him and try to catch him.
Nor are we going to tell you much more because his thing is that you see it yourself, although if you have passed these editions on Nintendo Switch, he will not tell you anything that you do not already know. That does not mean that the episode has no waste because it is spectacular how the characters, the Pokémon, their attacks, and the rest of the animations look.
As happened to us with Pokémon Wings of Twilight, the miniseries make us wish these chapters were even longer. Even so, we have another seven more ahead of us, and the next one will be “The Eclipse,” focused on the Alola region of Pokémon Sun and Moon.
