Most Smart TV comes with some pre-installed apps for entrainment. However, there are many more apps available that are not pre-installed on Samsung Smart TV. How to allow installation of apps from unknown sources

1. Using command prompt
Downloading a third-party app using the command prompt is among the easiest way. However, you will be required to have a computer to complete the process. Command prompt requires you to enter a few commands to install apps on your Samsung Smart TV. To use this method, you need to have the IP address of the TV. If you’re unaware of it, follow these simple steps to get the IP address:
- Turn the TV on and go to the Settings.
- Navigate through until you find the Network icon.
- Search around and click on the Information icon to see the IP address list.
- Copy the IP address indicated there on your personal computer.

2. How to install apps on Samsung Smart TV from USB
Did you know that you can install a third-party application using a USB flash drive? Instead of downloading the app directly from your TV, you can download an apk file from your PC and then transfer it to your USB device.
For example, you can easily download the app you want to install using apkpure or any free 3rd party apk apps on your USB cable. To download:
- Connect the USB cable to the Samsung Smart TV.
- Go to the files and folder and select the apk file you want to install.
- On your TV, go to the settings and click on the Security and Restriction icon.

- Download your ideal apk file from your PC and transfer it to dropbox or google drive.
- Open the link from Google Drive and link it to your TV. Ensure both the PC and the TV is connected to the same browser.
- Download the file from your smart TV.
