    Hisense TV Stuck on Logo

Hisense manufacturers some of the best budget smart TVs on the market. From UHD and ULED TVs to premium OLED and Laser TVs, Hisense makes reasonably priced offerings in almost every TV segment. As a result, it has become one of the fastest-growing TV brands worldwide.

However, despite the brand’s surging popularity, Hisense TVs are not perfect. From time to time, they may experience problems that require troubleshooting. Getting a TV stuck on logo screen is one common problem you may experience with your Hisense TV.

If you experience this problem, do not worry. In this article, we will explore several ways to fix the Hisense TV stuck on logo issue so that you can go back to binge-watching your favorite TV shows free from interruption.

Fixing Hisense TV Stuck on Logo Screen Problem

The TV stuck on logo, or frozen screen issue is not unique to Hisense TVs. It is a common problem that affects several other popular TV brands as well. If you encounter this problem on your Hisense Smart TV, try out any of these fixes to resolve the issue.

    1. Perform a Soft Reset

While it may sound too simple to be effective, restarting your device is one of the easiest and quickest ways to fix the Hisense Smart TV frozen issue. Also known as a “soft reset,” restarting your device shuts down all background processes and refreshes your TV. To safely perform a soft reset, follow these steps:

    • Switch off your Hisense Smart TV and router.
    • Unplug both your TV and router from the power outlet.
    • Wait for at least 2 minutes.
    • Plug in both devices and turn them on.

If this fix works, your Hisense TV should start as usual and go past the home screen.

    2. Reinsert the Batteries in the Remote Control

Performing a hard reset often resolves the problem. However, if it does not, try to reset the batteries in your remote control to fix the issue. To reset the remote-control batteries, follow these steps:

    • Open the remote control battery cover and remove the batteries.
    • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
    • Reinsert the batteries into the remote control.
    • Put back the remote control battery cover.
    • Turn on your Hisense TV using the remote control.

If the above fix does not solve the problem, move on to the next fix.

    3. Perform a Hard Reset

As a last resort, you may need to perform a “hard reset.” Unlike a “soft reset,” a hard reset will restore your device to its factory settings. A hard reset will delete all your passwords, applications, and custom settings. Therefore, it is advisable to try this fix only after trying the other fixes first.

As a rule of thumb, it is also advisable to backup all your data before performing a hard reset. Ensure you save all your passwords since you will need them to sign in once you perform the reset and turn on your device. Additionally, ensure you note down all the applications installed on your device so that you can download and reinstall them after performing the hard reset.

Once you have done these things, you can safely factory reset your Hisense Smart TV. To perform a hard reset, follow these steps:

    • Press the Menu button on your Hisense TV remote control.
    • Go to support and press Enter. The Enter option may appear as Select or OK, depending on your remote control model.
    • Select Self Diagnosis and click Select or OK to confirm your selection.
    • Select the final option, which is Reset.
    • Enter your PIN to authorize the request. If you do not have a PIN, type 0000 as the default PIN.
    • Reset your Hisense TV to its default settings.

If you have never changed your PIN, the default PIN should work. However, if you cannot recall your PIN or someone changed it without your knowledge, contact Hisense Customer Care for assistance.

    4. Performing a Hard Reset on Older Models

If you own an old Hisense Smart TV and it keeps going back to the home screen or getting stuck on it, follow these steps to perform a hard reset:

    • Press and hold the Exit button on your remote control for at least 15 seconds.
    • After 15 seconds, the Hisense Factory Service menu will appear on the screen.
    • Select OK.
    • Switch off your Hisense Smart TV.
    • Wait for at least 20 seconds.
    • Turn on your device.

Your Hisense TV should get past the home screen if this fix works. However, it is worth noting that this fix only works for 2013 and older models.

    5. Performing a Hard Reset Without the Remote

Did your remote get spoilt or misplaced? If it did, do not worry. You can still factory reset your Hisense Smart TV without the remote. Just download and install a universal remote application for your phone to control your device.

Alternatively, if you have a newer Hisense TV, your device may have a physical reset button located behind your device. To perform a hard reset using the reset button on newer models, follow these steps:

    • Look for the Reset button behind your device.
    • Press and hold down the Reset button while your device is still on.
    • Wait for your device to start twice or more times.
    • Release the Reset

Once you’ve followed these steps, a setup screen should appear on your screen, allowing you to factory reset your Hisense TV.

Should You Perform a Soft Reset or a Hard Reset?

Ideally, you should first perform a soft reset to fix the Hisense Smart TV frozen issue. A soft reset will wipe your TV’s memory clean and restart your device, and it often resolves the problem. Plus, a soft reset will not delete any of your account information, making it an ideal first course of action. However, consider performing a hard reset if a soft reset does not resolve the issue.

A hard reset will do everything a soft reset does. In addition, it will also reset the firmware of the device to its factory settings.

While performing a hard reset may feel tedious because you will need to set up all your passwords, applications, and custom settings from scratch, it often resolves the issue when a soft reset fails.

Additionally, if you plan to sell your Hisense Smart TV or give it away, it is always advisable to perform a hard reset.

    6. Install the Latest Firmware

If performing a soft or hard reset does not fix the Hisense TV keeps going back to home screen issue, try installing the latest firmware.

Typically, you can install the latest firmware on your Hisense Smart TV by going to the settings menu, clicking on the support option, scrolling down to the system update option, and selecting the check firmware update option.

However, if your Hisense TV is stuck on the logo screen, you will not be able to download the latest firmware using this method. Instead, you will need to use a USB flash drive to install the latest firmware. This is also a great option if you do not have internet access.

As a rule of thumb, the USB flash drive should support the FAT16, FAT32, 3Xfat, and NTFS formats. Additionally, it should have sufficient storage to transfer the downloaded firmware to your Hisense Smart TV.

Once you have confirmed that your USB flash drive fulfills all these requirements, follow these steps to update the firmware on your device:

    • Download the latest Hisense TV software from the Hisense website.
    • Unzip the downloaded file and transfer it to your USB flash drive.
    • Turn off your TV.
    • Insert the USB flash drive into your Hisense TV.
    • Turn your TV back on.
    • Wait for your Hisense Smart TV to detect the firmware update on your USB flash drive. This may take a couple of minutes.
    • Once it detects the firmware update, your Hisense TV will automatically begin the firmware installation.
    • The installation process may take up to 15 minutes or more.

Once the installation process is complete, your Hisense Smart TV will reboot. However, if your TV fails to update, repeat the process.

If you have a 2013 or older Hisense TV model, the above fix may not work. In case it does not, contact your local Hisense Customer Support Center.

The Customer Care Representative may request you to take your TV set to one of their stores, or they may send you a USB flash drive with a software update for your model.

If they send you a USB flash drive with the latest firmware, use the steps above to update the firmware on your device.

    Conclusion

If you experience the Hisense TV stuck on logo screen issue, try the above fixes to resolve the problem. In most cases, your TV should go back to functioning properly after performing them.

But, if none of the fixes above resolve the issue, try to contact the Hisense Customer Service team for assistance or hire a professional to fix the issue. However, contact the Hisense Customer Care team first, especially if your device is still under warranty.
